Project “My school, my castle”
My school, My Castle
In this social studies project, students were tasked to compare and contrast a medieval castle community with a modern-day school community. To start off, we expanded our knowledge on castles by reading a booket in class about the castle structure and the community it housed. Afterwards, we discussed similarities and differences between both communities. A similarity, for example, is that both communities have a form of hierarchy and a difference is the absolute authority higher ranks in castles have over the lower ranks. The remaining time was dedicated to work on the final product: a presentation demonstrating what they have learnt from this project. Below you can find a compilation of everyone’s presentations. We are very pleased with the results!
